Sizing Guide
Getting the right fit is the key to a manicure that lasts 2+ weeks and looks like it was sculpted in a salon. We offer three easy ways to find your size, listed from easiest to most technical.
The Starter Sizing Kit
Best For: First-time buyers who want to wear their nails immediately.
Skip the measuring tape entirely! Our Starter Sets include 2 of every size nail we make (24-28 nails total), fully painted and finished in our signature designs.
- Order a Starter Set: Choose your favorite design.
- Find Your Fit: Test the nails against your natural nail to find the perfect fit.
- Wear Immediately: Apply them right out of the packaging!
- Save Your Size: Check the small number on the packaging (it is also on the inside of the nail). Write these down- now you know your custom measurements for all future orders!
The Sizing Kit
Best For: Customers who need to confirm their size before purchasing.
If you have your eye on a specific set, the most accurate way to measure is to try on the blank tips in person.
- Purchase a Standard Sizing Kit (or a Micro Sizing Kit for smaller hands and children)
- We ship it to you ASAP.
- Try on the blank nails to see which number fits your nail bed perfectly (sidewall to sidewall).
- Come back to shop and order the set you've been eyeing with confidence!
Measuring at Home
Best For: If you have a measuring tape handy and are comfortable measuring in millimeters.
Please Note: Measuring at home carries a risk of human error. If you are unsure, we highly recommend Option 1 or 2.
FAQ
Q: What if I am between sizes?
A: We recommend sizing up. You can gently file the sides of a larger press-on to fit your nail bed perfectly. A press-on that is too small will pop off easily and may hurt your natural nail.
Q: Do you have sizes for kids?
A: Yes! Please order our Micro Sizing Kit to ensure a proper fit for petite hands.
Q: Can I just guess my size based on drugstore nails?
A: We strongly recommend against this. Drugstore brands are mass-produced with generic sizing. Our nails are made with professional Apres Gel-X tips, which have their own unique structure and curve. A "Medium" in a drugstore brand might be a "Small" in our shop. Please measure your nails or grab a Sizing Kit to ensure a perfect fit.
Q: I’ve ordered from other Etsy shops. Can I use those measurements?
A: Not necessarily. Every nail artist uses different brands of tips (Enailcouture, Apres, Kiara Sky, etc.), and they all measure differently. Unless you are 100% sure the other shop used the exact same brand and shape of tips we do, please measure again to be safe.
Q: My left hand and right hand have different measurements. Is that normal?
A: Yes, it is very common! Please measure all 10 fingers. When ordering a Custom Set, simply select "Custom" and list the measurements for both hands (e.g., Left: 16, 12, 13, 11, 9 | Right: 17, 13, 13, 11, 10) in the order notes.
Q: Do different shapes fit differently?
A: Yes! A Short Square tip often fits differently than a Long Stiletto tip, even if they are both "Size 4."
• Recommendation: If you plan to switch shapes often, we recommend ordering a Sizing Kit in your desired shape, or purchasing our Starter Set which includes all sizes (00-9).
